Roy Kindelberger is a poet, writer, and kindergarten teacher. He lives in Edmonds, Washington, with his wife, Jaci. Roy has two children and three stepchildren. He began writing tanka in 2015 with Tanka Poets on Site, a Facebook group, followed by publications in Colorado Boulevard and Ribbons. In 2024, Roy published Building Bridges, a collection of haiku, tanka, and tanka prose. He has also published tanka in Laurels, Drifting Sands, Scarlet Dragonfly, Poets' Choice Anthologies, and Free Spirit Anthologies. Roy enjoys reading, photography, hiking, kayaking, being out in nature, spending time with his family, and practicing Tai Chi. He is also published in the children’s and educational markets.
